This workshop is organized with the aim to present this aspect of Chinese culture to the public and enable all the people interested in it to experience it themselves by learning how to write Chinese characters with a brush and ink.

It is also called the art of Chinese writing, which in China, from a very early period, was viewed as the supreme visual art form. It was more valued than painting and sculpture, and ranked alongside poetry as a means of self-expression and cultivation.
