The Confucius Institute, together with the Academy of Arts of the University of Banja Luka,
celebrated World Music Day on 21 June 2022 with open-air performances at several locations in Banja Luka.
The celebration started in Banja Luka kindergartens, then continued in the "Delta" Shopping Centre. The evening programme included performances in the chamber hall of the Academy of Arts, on the central city streets and pedestrians, and at the end a concert was held on the summer stage of the Academy of Arts in the University Campus.
The performers were the Chamber Orchestra of the Academy of Arts, Kerubini Chamber Choir
of the Confucius Institute, Taiji Group and Vocal Ensemble of the Confucius Institute, Uzdarja
Folk Ensemble of the Faculty of Philosophy and the Balkan Ekspres Band.
This year's concert organised in honour of World Music Day on the summer stage of the
Academy of Arts in the University Campus was officially opened by the Chinese Director of the
Confucius Institute of the University of Banja Luka Shen Li, who emphasized that this
recognizable international music event, which is celebrated in over 120 countries around the
world, represents another important event that connects and brings our two countries closer.
