Representatives of the City of Banja Luka at the China Tourism Industries Exposition

with the Support of the Confucius Institute at the University of Banja Luka

In the organisation of the Confucius Institute at the University of Banja Luka, the representatives of the City of Banja Luka and the Tourism Organization of Banja Luka are participating at the 2018 China Tourism Industries Exposition in the city of Tianjin, PR China, where they are presenting the tourism program of Banja Luka.


The City of Banja Luka has recently signed a memorandum of cooperation with this Chinese city and, as the Head of the Department of Culture, Tourism and Social Policy of Banja Luka Natalija Trivic stated, participation in this exposition is a great opportunity for our city to present itself and its tourism offer, as well as for positioning itself as a touristic destination and thus attract tourists from this part of the world to Banja Luka and the Republic of Srpska.


Apart from offering the possibility of learning Chinese language and culture to everyone interested at its courses and cultural lectures and events, the Confucius Institute at the University of Banja Luka is networking between different institutions of the Republic of Srpska and China, thus helping them to make contact and establish better cooperation.


The China Tourism Industries Exposition opened on Friday in Tianjin and attracted more than 700 exhibitors. Co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Tianjin Municipality, and supported by the World Tourism Organization, this expo aims at developing the cooperation between the countries and regions in the world in the field of tourism. It is expected to attract over 300,000 visitors.


First held in 1999, the China Tourism Industries Exposition has had more than 1,77 million visitors from over 80 countries and regions in the world. This expo is very important and plays an important role in advancing China’s tourism and promoting cooperation between the countries within the Belt and Road Initiative in this industry.
