Seminar of Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctor Filip Manja

Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine Filip Manja held a two-day seminar on Chinese

acupressure for common disorders at the Faculty of Political Science, on 26 and 27 February

2021, which was organized by the Confucius Institute at University of Banja Luka.


Due to the current coronavirus epidemic, the number of participants in the seminar was limited to 30 people.


Acupressure is a Traditional Chinese Medicine technique by using fingers or special devices to

apply pressure to certin acupoints on the body in order to help oneself or others. Participants of this seminar had the opportunity to learn how to easily apply physical pressure to certain

acupoints on the body in the treatment of: headaches and migraines, dizziness, sinus problems, nausea, menstrual disorders, morning neck pain, back stiffness, loss of consciousness, stress, insomnia, etc.


Filip Manja is a doctor of Chinese medicine. He graduated in Chinese language and literature

from the Faculty of Philology at the University of Belgrade, and during his studies he became

interested in traditional Chinese medicine. He then graduated in Chinese medicine in China. He

was trained in the field of acupuncture, phytotherapy, tuina massage by great teachers such as

master Duan Zhiliang and Andrew Nugent-Head and in Chinese hospitals, where he gained

knowledge from a dozen of Chinese medicine doctors. He regularly holds lectures and

workshops in the region, sharing his knowledge and experiences.
