Students of the Chinese language courses at the Confucius Institute, University of Banja Luka,
Dajana Rakar and Luka Mijatović won the second and third place respectively at the 13 th Chinese Bridge Preliminary Chinese Proficiency Competition for the Students of Secondary Schools in BiH.
In view of the epidemiological measures applied, the competition was held online via the Zoom platform on 28 June 2020.
Dajana Rakar won the second place among the seven competitors, while Mijatović won the third place. Filip Đorđić also participated in the competition on behalf of the Confucius Institute at the University of Banja Luka. Kevser Bukvić, student at the Confucius Institute of the University of Sarajevo, is the winner of the competition.
In May this year, Chinese language students of the Confucius Institute at the University of Banja Luka also won second and third place at the Chinese bridge competition held for students from BiH, and the second-placed Vid Kecman was awarded a visit to China and attending the final competition.
Chinese Bridge Preliminary Chinese Proficiency Competition connects all the students of
Chinese language and culture, and this competition is held once a year in many countries around the world. The winners of the preliminary part of the competition have the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge at the final competition in Beijing.
The competition was organised by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in BiH and
the Confucius Institute at the University of Sarajevo, with the support of the Department of
Chinese Language at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of East Sarajevo and the
Confucius Institute at the University of Banja Luka.
