The Kerubini Chamber Choir of the Confucius Institute at the University of Banja Luka returned with an important diploma and plaque from the Days of Stevan Mokranjac which were held for the 56th time in Negotin, in honor of the greatest Serbian composer, Stevan Mokranjac.
According to the festival selector, Prof. Sonja Marinković, Kerubini Chamber Choir
received this plaque and diploma for nurturing the repertoire of traditional choral creativity, by
performing the rare works by Vlade Milošević and J. Slavenski.
This music festival, which is organized in the memory of the greatest Serbian composer Stevan Stojanovic Mokranjac, hosts the most famous performers from Serbia and former Yugoslavia but also a number of world-famous pianists and choirs. Singing competition between choirs is the highlight of the event, and the accompanying program includes numerous painting exhibitions, book promotions and literary evening.
