The team of the Confucius Institute at the University of Banja Luka has got a new member. The new Chinese director of the Confucius Institute Shen Li arrived from China in August this year.
Shen Li is a professor of English language and literature, who has graduated from the Shanghai International Studies University. Before coming to Banja Luka, she worked as the deputy dean at the School of Foreign Languages at Tianjin University of Technology and Education, the collaborative Chinese institution of the University of Banja Luka. In addition, she worked as the director of the Confucius Institute at TVET of Ethiopia from 2013 to 2017.
In more than a month of working in Banja Luka, she met with the Rector of the University, the
principals of several schools with which the Confucius Institute cooperates. She also visited the Embassy of People's Republic of China to BiH and met with the Head of Political Division, with whom she shared her impressions of her work at the Institute.
