In honour of marking the Global Confucius Institute Day, on 23 October 2020, the exhibition of
photographs Tea, Love and the World was officially opened in the Gallery of the Culture Centre in Doboj.
The exhibition of 36 photographs selected by a special jury from China, out of a total of 200 photographs displayed around the world, was organised by the Confucius Institute at the University of Banja Luka in cooperation with the International Association of Scientists and the Secondary School of Economics in Doboj. The exhibition of tea photographs has been displayed in three parts (Tea, Love and the World), presenting this very important aspect of Chinese culture in a special way.
It was previously presented at the Confucius Institute at the University of Banja Luka and was then moved to the School of Economics in Doboj. It was open for 30 days and the pupils, a number of which studies Chinese language at courses organised by the Confucius Institute, had thus the opportunity to learn more about the growing, preparation and drinking of tea, which represent cultural values of the Chinese people.
Over 500 Confucius Institutes in more than 140 countries worldwide celebrate this day during September every year by organising public events in which the Chinese language, culture and tradition is shared with the citizens of local communities in which they operate.
This exhibition is now located on the first floor of the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Banja Luka, where the premises of the Confucius Institute are, and is open to the public.
