On Wednesday, February 13th Grammar school in Banja Luka and Confucius Institute organized a night of Chinese pop culture, a.k.a karaoke night which attracted attention of a great number of students, professors and citizens of Banja Luka.
Karaoke night was organized as a competition between teams which applied a few days before the actual event. Each team chose its name and two songs which they decided to perform. The audience was to decide the winner on the principle of voting for just one team. Four teams applied and the team of Grammar school students received the biggest number of audience votes. They were awarded with Confucius Institute t-shirts and books from Chinese writer Mo Yan.
This type of activity attracted the attention of many, since the hole of Grammar school was full of students, professors and citizens who decided to attend this event. The karaoke night is one of the events organized by CI UNIBL in order to promote modern Chinese pop culture and a way of celebrating Chinese New Year.
