Future Sinologists Presented Their Final Papers

Students of Sinology at the Faculty of Philology, University of Banja Luka, presented their final papers at a student Sinology conference, organized as part of the course unit Sinology II.

At the conference, held on 16 June 2026, papers were presented covering various areas of Chinese culture and society, ranging from art and history to contemporary issues concerning the relations between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Serbia, as well as social phenomena such as the Gaokao, the Chinese National College Entrance Examination.

This is the fourth consecutive year that first-year students of the Sinology study programme have presented their first academic papers at the Sinology conference, which is organized at the end of the academic year within the Department of Sinology of the Faculty of Philology.

The conference was also an opportunity to mark the completion of studies of the first generation of Sinology students, as well as to present an exhibition of student photographs taken during their stay in the People’s Republic of China.
