The vision of the Confucius Institute is to become an important source of knowledge about the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Srpska. In addition to promoting the Chinese language and culture, i.e. familiarizing the wider and professional public with the Chinese language and culture, the goal of the Confucius Institute is to strengthen educational cooperation between China and the Republic of Srpska, as well as providing assistance in establishing cooperation between various institutions of the Republic of Srpska and the institutions of the People's Republic of China. The Institute organizes the study of the Chinese language for primary and secondary school students, as well as at higher education institutions, but also educates and informs the business community of the Republika Srpska about the ways and opportunities of doing business with the People's Republic of China, thus helping them to master what is necessary for successful business with China and other Asian countries. By regularly organizing educational workshops that promote the cultural values of the Chinese people, the Institute actually tries to enable fellow citizens to get to know and understand different aspects of Chinese culture better through active participation.
