Confucius Institute – The Bridge that Connects

The Confucius Institute at the University of Banja Luka, established in December 2017, is an education centre dedicated to promоting the Chinese language and culture. Students have the opportunity to learn from native speakers and the Chinese language teachers in the classrooms at the Faculty of Political Science, where the Confucius Institute is located, or in the classrooms of schools with which the Institute cooperates. The Institute develops programmes for preschool, primary and secondary school children, students and teachers, as well as for all those interested in studying the Chinese language and culture. Upon completing the course, they are awarded the certificates of completion, and they may take the internationally recognised YCT and HSK tests. Its library has over 2,000 books in Chinese and English, which contribute to a better understanding of Chinese society, culture and contemporary trends.

Activities of the Institute

The Confucius Institute organises a variety of Chinese language and culture-related activities. At its courses, the Chinese language and culture are taught by native speakers and the Chinese language teachers. The Institute also organises creative workshops for students of all ages, where Chinese is taught through play, art and practical work.
