The Chinese Ambassador Visited the Sinology Study Programme

On 27 March 2026, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Li Fan, visited the University of Banja Luka, and as part of this visit, she also visited the new classroom of the Sinology Study Programme at the Faculty of Philology, where the Embassy of the People's Republic of China donated some of the equipment.

On that occasion, the Ambassador met with professors from the Faculty of Philology and the Faculty of Political Science, and also talked with the Sinology students. During the meeting in the newly equipped classroom, they discussed the work of this study programme, and also reflected on the activities of the Confucius Institute at the University of Banja Luka.

The meeting was also attended by the Vice-Rector for International and Interuniversity Cooperation, Prof. Kristina Pantelić Babić, PhD, and the Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Prof. Biljana Babić, PhD, while the ambassador's delegation included First Secretary Qu Huibin and Economic Advisor Gai Guoqiang.
